Hi all,
As the title says, I have a renewed interest in my tank...neglected it for awhile, haven't done a water change in over a year, just kept feeding the fish. Fortunately, the only things I'm battling are diatoms and a bit of hair algae on one of my rocks...The tank currently has only 4 fish and one coral, a neon green cabbage coral that is thriving. I swear I could dump gas in the tank and that coral won't care...lol...My Aquatic life 4 bulb T5 fixture went belly up so I bought a cheap Current LED fixture just to get by...that coral had no light for a week and didn't care, I put the led light on the tank and it just went back to growing...Anyway, my question is about lighting...I want to stay with LED, programmable if possible but don't want to break the bank. I say that because I'm looking at these, which I realize aren't programmable but they are dimmable. Not the same, I know, but affordable...I have a 75 gallon tank and my interest is in keeping softies and LPS corals. Mainly, but not limited to, Torch, Frogspawn and Hammer corals. My question is will this light work? I know I'll need at least 2 of them but is it worth it? Are there better options out there that are fairly comparable in price? I ask only because I see no point in spending $150 in a pair of lights that will do nothing for me when I can spend a little more and get what I want...I mean, I'd love to buy Kessils but they are beyond my budget right now...Let's just say, for the sake of conversation, I put a $400 limit on lighting options...Thank you all ahead of time for any input I get...these are the lights I'm looking at...
