Took some pictures of my tank after getting a few new corals from the LEAR frag swap yesterday. Some of the pictures are of new coral other pictures are just update shots of some of my favorites. Excuse the cluttered tank, some corals are awaiting their final placement in the rock.

Now that the tank has been running for about 1.5 years I have started to find the sweet spots for each measurement that seems to make most everything in my tank happy.

Here are my current readings:

Salinity: 1.026
Calcium: 455 (420 to 450 is my target zone)
Nitrates: 4 (this is as high as I want to let them get, I have found that my tank does better with Nitrates around 2ppm. Nitrates of 5ppm begins to cause problems in my tank)
Phosphates: 0.12, using Hanna Low Range Meter (I may actually let this climb closer to .2, I recently added a large amount of high capacity GFO that stripped a lot of phosphates, causing unhappiness and pale color in some acros, they are recovering nicely as I let phosphates slowly rise)
ALK: 9.4dKH (8.8 to 9.4 is my target zone)
Magnesium: 1350 (I have found levels closer to 1400 to 1450 seem to be best for my tank)

I will also add that I do 25% water changes (50 gallons) each week. In my opinion this is the single most important action I take in keeping my corals happy. If I start to slack, it does not take long to see the consequences.

This coral retracted just about all of it colored tissue when handled. It appeared to totally bleach out, it was very interesting. Here it is after the tissue started to come back out:

The red striping doesn't show too
Much in the mother polyp (maybe it dulls out when they get bigger?)

But all of the babies have the cool red striping on them
