Yes. Seems as the pads and sponges are getting clogged up. Maybe having a larger micron size will prevent that for now. It's a good possibility that being a newer tank they are grabbing a lot more waste then designed. On my established tank w a conventional wet dry I have to keep up on mine about every week to two to ensure this doesn't happen
