I have a acrylic sump from years,...ago, and the other day I bumped against it and I cracked it.
I may have a use for it, so I need to find out if I need a glue made for acrylic or something else and how to apply it.

Second question.
This sump was made by a small company that builds custom acrylic's. It has two towers for bio-media like balls. It is a really nicely built that was made for our 200g tank but, the sump was not big enough to hold the amount of water when I would unplugged the return pump. I can take pics and measurements.

Your advise and know-how is appreciated.

Also , when you unplugged the pump, was the tank water being siphoned back to the sump?

and more importantly, does your screen name refer to your cobra?

Yes it did, two corner hang on back's, which I hated.

Yep, I built a 1966 Ford 427 S/C Shelby Cobra. I'm almost done building a new engine for her. 460/527cu. Apx 725-750 HP/TQ. Kaase SR-71 aluminum heads, roller cam & rockers, stacked EFI. Should run mid to lower 9 sec @ 162 mph with slicks.

A good check valve under those returns will eliminate the water flowing back in. Especially handy in the event power
Goes out so you don’t have a small flood.

Correct, but you have to clean the valve often. Do you know what is the best valve ?

cheaper:

Easier to clean:

What do you have on the return loc lines? If so just point them up towards the top of the water. That's what I did i don't run a check valve. I've ran my tank multiple times and checked tanks both ways make sure tank or sump can't over flood
