Replace my Noopsyche K7 II Pro's with AI Hydra 26HD?

Ok, so to start off, I have nothing against my existing Noopsyche lights. As a matter of fact, I like them a lot. But I did get 2 Hydra 26HD's in a trade and I decided I was going to swap them out. Now, I'm having second thoughts, and since I haven't made a deal on selling/trading the Noopsyche's yet, I have time to reconsider.

There are 2 reasons I was going to swap them out. They are:
1- The best growth I've seen on any of my SPS in the past, was when I had Hydra 26HD's
2- I like the fact I can control the Hydra's with the app or on the web and I don't need a specific controller

That's it...nothing else. Now, with contemplating and second guessing myself, it's possible that the reason I had great growth under the 26HD's in the past had nothing to do with the lights, it could have been several other things ..... so maybe that's a mute point. The app part, well, there's no way around that, but it is nice.

If you notice, I didn't say I hated anything about the Noopsyche's.......that's because I have nothing bad to say. They put out a crazy amount of light, my coral all seem happy, and while the controller can be annoying, it's not hard to figure out/set/modify settings.

So now I'm thinking I'm just changing things for the sake of changing things......

Anyone else had both lights and where did you end up?

I have both of those lights, I hate the controller for the noopsyches, that's my only complaint about them. I have 4 Hydra 26 and so far 3 have burnt out and needed replaced, I've had them since the beginning of August. I've also had issues with the lights maintaining their connection to where I don't run them through the wifi anymore. Also the spread on the noopsychs is much better. Ultimately they'll both grow coral equally well. If I were to have to re buy all my lights I'd.. go noopsych for cost and spread but maybe the new hydras are better. I'll find out once my warranty replacement/upgrade arrives.

Yep, that's pretty much my experience too. Well, except I've never had any issues with the Hydras I had before.

I have them both on my tank now, one on each side while I try and decide (or if I end up selling/trading one set, that'l decide it for me real fast....haha)

I ended up sticking with the AI's. It's not a knock on the Noopsyche's, it's just that my "history" with the AI leads me to irrationally think that they'll work better for me in my application. lol!
