Hi everyone I recently purchased a used
24" Aqualite Pro HQI Retrofit Kit 150 watt and need to replace the 65 watt actinic fluorescent bulbs. The original part number is 54086 but am unable to purchase that particular bulb. It is a square pin design with 4 pins. Any suggestions on how I can cross reference the bulb number so that I am purchasing the correct bulb? Thanks in advance

You do not see a lot of these bulbs in the hobby now. Keep trying would be my best advise. Did you look on Amazon?
yes and eBay

I'm wondering if Hamilton would have a bulb that would fit, you can try emailing them. Dave with Hamilton technologies is very helpful.
I actually just purchased Hamilton bulbs from Drs Foster & Smith and am hopeful they will work. Thank you for your suggestion:)

I just ordered those and hopefully they will work. Thank you for your suggestion and the link:)
No problem, hopefully they work out for you. I feel your pain trying to find parts for equipment that is on it's way out. I have a MH/T5 fixture and saw a clearance sale on MH bulbs because they were not going to carry them anymore I bought enough to last me about 8yrs. If they do work stock up before they are gone. Just my $.02:)

The light fixtures I purchased were in like new condition. The previous owner’s 180 Gallon reef tank literally shattered and he lost all of his fish and corals and according to him bought the lights new and only used them for about 3 months before he lost his tank:(. I am currently using 3 Marsaqua type (Chinese) led boxes but after much research the T 5’s and metal Halides were most recommended by aquarium enthusiast. My main concern buying these lights were finding replacement bulbs. Again, I greatly appreciate you taking the time to read my post and responding. I’ll update once I receive the bulbs to let know if they work or not. I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed
