Replacement Head Tubing For Jebao Dosers?!?!

Hey everyone,

I'm curious where to buy better quality tubing for the heads of the Jebao dosers?

The dosers are rock solid (have two), but with alkalinity solutions, the inner tubing of the dosers tend to leak/develop cracks over time.

Would love to know what higher end tubing I could use with this doser...

Anything that'll fit....and it looks to be the same outside diameter (O.D.) as plain airline tubing.

You just need to re-run the calibration feature. Whatever you get, the inside diameter may be different. (Sorry I can't be more specific....unless you speak Chinese, I'd call their USA distributor and ask....which I think is Champion Lighting.....if you don't get the info you need here.)

How long did it take for your tubing to get like that?

Airline seems to thick and ridged, actually tried that yesterday.

There is a softer, more rubbery airline. The one I usually see is blue. It may be too soft though.

Think you got a dud then...might even qualify for warranty, which Champion may cover if it was supplied by them. (Jebao doesn't seem to control who gets their products for how much...this is why I say: ) In your case I'd start by calling either the dealer you bought it from or Champion.

I've had mine running quite a bit longer than that without issue, so I don't think it's the tubing wearing out per se...

I would use silicone or Pharmed tubing. You can find it on amazon. Some airline tubing can be too rigid for a peristaltic pump. The heads on that pump are plastic. The tubing should last a very long time.

Just to clarify, the airline tubing was only a size reference from eyeballing mine....I think airline is 5/16" off the top of my head. So maybe try 1/4"....or even better just use your calipers or micrometer to measure the tubing you have. Maybe airline is 1/4" so you'd want 3/16"....LOL

If I get time to get my tools out today I'll measure my tubing.

The pump's tubing is maybe a milimeter smaller....about 1/64" smaller by my eyeball. So it may be 7mm tubing or 7.5mm?

I have no idea what's avaialable....but try searching for the types that @RobBaglieri named and see if these sizes are offered.

Your flow rate is set by the size of the internal diameter (I.D. or tubing thickness), so they may offer you options for your (O.D.) tubing size. If you don't know/don't care, I'd select a middle-of-the-road option. If you've always wanted to slow down your pump (or speed it up) this is where you'd do it.

What you're looking for should be fairly common tubing...not an oddball. And remember that whole replacement motor/pump head/tube sets go for between $10 and $30....the tubing should be a sensible price.

You can get this tubing on amazon. Its fairly standard tubing. The silicone and Pharmed are non reactive, low or absent of leachables and extractables.

I would think that 7mm x 5mm would be a better fit.....but that's based on @nuxx's experience of trying airline (presumed to be 5/16") and not having luck. Not sure if he'll know his OD or be able to measure. More flexible tubing may make all the difference too. It would be nice to know what's "correct".

@nuxx Since you've had the pump apart, can you see any printing on the tubing itself?

Surgical tubing will work as well.
