Currently I have Waveline DC12000, it was given to me from a buddy that bought it, but did not like it so really not been used for more than a month.

I am trying to decide if I should just use it, or go with the pump I planned on going with the Reef Octopus VarioS-8.

The other option is the tank/stand won't be getting setup until late Aug/Sept as we having new floors installed so I was thinking waiting on Neptune COR, if that every comes out.

What do you guys think? This going on on a 220 72x25x30

Thanks

I have also been looking into this. I'm dancing around the varios, vectra, or red dragon. They all seem to have their own highly enthusiastic supporters. I'm leaning towards the vectra as I've seen a few in action and they are silent. Just wish they worked with the apex....

What are you looking for in the pump? Dc? Quiet?

DC, Quiet and Apex. Almost everything I have will be connected to the Apex, and since I travel a lot I thought would be a good idea to have a pump that is as well. So I am torn as well as to what to get.

What is it you do not like about the pump?

It louder than I would like it to be. Also I like to keep some backup parts for it on hand, and I find it difficult to track those down.
