Does anyone know of a place I can get a union that will match up with the ones provided with the 2" flow sensor? I am trying to create a small section of pipe that will allow me to remove the flow sensor for maintenance and still keep the system running. I know you can order them directly from Neptune but with three 2" sensors, that comes to 6 unions at $20 ea before shipping. Would prefer to find a cheaper option, even something just a few bucks cheaper ends up being worth it since I have to buy 6.

I would think that's going to be a tough find with the one side being the BSPP threads for the meter. Do you have room to install another union on either side of the "special" union and just remove the entire meter package all together? I know it defeats the purpose of the first union, but a 2" sch 40 union is about $8-$10.

Just thinking out loud...

Yeah, the thing is, I dont even want/need the BSPP side. I need a slip socket that is compatible with the other side of the union that is provided with the sensor.

Your post helped me realize... the unions from the Neptune store aren't even a viable option, since they will have BSPP threads where I need a slip socket. I might just have to put standard unions on the outside of the Neptune unions like you suggest. I think I can fit this on one of my sensors but probably not the other two. But at least that would let me remove one sensor from the system at a time, and I could swap the sensors around to eventually service them all. Bad solution but might be the only option.
