Hello,

I'm currently running 1 Redsea LED90 for my tank, its at about 75% blue and 40% white for the day. I have it set to ramp up and down. The moonlight mode is really underwhelming, nothing quite flouresces like the blue light and the corals are acting as though it is night time (I suspect as they should be), shrinking up a bit feeders out etc. If I wanted to change out my moonlight mode for maybe a solid 30% blue setting only, would that harm anything or overexpose the corals to light? Currently they have a darkness period from about 11pm to 8:30am. I would just like a better nighttime viewing experience without harming my livestock basically.

I have no answer as to whether it harmful other than I done it for years now and my corals are growing just fine. I only run 1%(Radions) and 2%(AI primes) though from 8PM to 1AM.
Should add lights come on at 8AM, so 7 hours of total darkness.

Thank you for your reply. The moonlight mode is super dim even at 100% , so I was basically wondering if I could do a low % solid blue. I guess you can in fact do that based on what you're saying, I'll play around with it tonight unless someone else interjects then just make the change slowly

Yes, but not all corals are fluorescent under blue light. Orange real stands out,IE my orange monti cap, setosa monti, bubblegum digi and gobstopper zoas. Yellow too(scrambled egg zoas, rasta zoas).
