Hello,

Has anyone replace their sand? I have a carib sea "bimini pink" for a year and I dont like it how it looks now.
Planning to use a wet vac and doing it per week as I change my water.

Currently have 4 fishes , 2 Fire shrimps and few corals, couple sps and lps.

Any other useful method that will be a great help.

Thanks!

I used a wet vac to remove water from a tank I was cleaning...it goes REALLY fast and that sucker will fill up REALLY fast and start overflowing, lol.

What about just scooping some of the sand out and mixing with new different sand...the look might be good with the mix.

That's the way it's done, small sections at a time over the course of weeks. Allows the sand to be seeded with bacteria and doesn't cause a cycle.

use a syphon and filter sock to collect the sand and then u can just put the water back in and trhow away the sand
