well my pc's are toast and want to gut and replace the lighting on this nano but realistically speaking can one grow coral in a tank this small I have seen with the led's out now they will fit and supposedly grow coral while not heating up the tank like a metal halide. so that is one option but if I wanted to go the MH route what would be the least amount of light I could use to try to keep the tank from heating up? I have seen one metal halide that is a clip on with a 75watt dual ended bulb would this work or would it be too much? of course last option is pc's again and confined to softies ...which option would you recommend?

Thanks for all the intel in advance
Roger

I have the Exoxotic panorama pro modules in my BC14, they work great. For what its worth, I have one all blue and one 14k/blue mix. I ran the standard panoramas for over a year before that and they grew softies and lps just fine.

I was going to recommend the panorama's also. If you want to go halide the 75 Watt halide would be fine. How much are the replacement bulbs for it? My brother has a 70W sunpod but replacement bulbs are like $60. Makes a little more upfront cost on the LEDs worthwhile.

hmm

that sounds expensive for the bulb would have to see what they run..but it would be nice to have the option of being able to put in a frag or two when needed of sps..and not just the softies ..but I have to get it in my head that this is a mini show tank for the kitchen and not the main show tank or QT tank lol maybe some colorful lps and one or two small softies or even some zoo's and two small clowns or firefish type what do you guys think would be nice for a small nano goby maybe with shrimp..lol thanks for the intel.

They sell a reflector for the panorama modules that would allow you to keep sps, there is also an inline dimmer you can buy. As for fish, I love neon gobies. You could do a few of them and a clownfish.

I have a Panorama Pro LED on a 12 gal. aquapod that replaced the compacts, plus Trulumen stunners. Made a huge difference, now growing LPS and SPS, no problem. Great color and no more heat issues, and no more replacing expensive fluorescents every 6 months. Go for it, you'll save in the long run.

Sounds like I will go that led route would you have any pictures of your setup would love to se what they look
Like off and on meaning your led setup and how its mounted underneath and on lighting
Your tank .is there an instructional DIY video ? Thanks this Intel really helped .
