I have to disagree with you on the check valve. I strongly believe in having one in the system. I do agree that over time the build up can cause them to fail and that is why I suggest a Tru union check valve. This allows the center portion to be removed and serviced cleaned. When it finally wears out it can simply be replaced by just sliding in a new center portion. This maintenance can sadly be done while doing water changes. Again just my opinion

that is part of the more work had one pump that was going on it and after about 30 min it died so that is why it is on 1in pipe will fix it soonGood job. My only critique would be that in the last pic it looks like you have the inlet to the pump reduced to a 1" pipe. Looks like the pump should have a 2" inlet. You should never restrict the pipe on the inlet. The pump is designed to have a more water to pull from and now it doesn't. It will shorten the life of the pump and cause it to work harder than intended
