OK, I'm not a chemist so I'm sure there is something I'm missing cause it can't be that simple.

Fresh soda lime used in a CO2 scrubber is calcium hydroxide (kalkwasser) and by absorbing the CO2 it becomes calcium carbonate.

Instead of throwing this material in the trash, is there something we can do with it to reduce waste?

It will likely be a mix of calcium carbonate, sodium carbonate, potassium carbonate, and maybe some hydroxides too. I can’t think of anything I’d use it for, except maybe making a garden more alkaline if the pH is too low.
