unleashed tons of dust and I just want to make sure that the does the rocks put out isn’t going to harm my fish. I am currently heating up some salt water for a water change

Were the center of the rocks black?

And airstone and moving a power head to the surface may help.

Can also run some carbon if it did release anything.

no the center was white

Ok good sign, black would indicate hydrogen sulfide deposits and would have suggested rehoming till it settled. This is most likely caco3 powder and will settle. But watch your fish and increase aeration just in case :)

Something to polish your water will help clear it up a bit more quickly. I like to use white 12" x 12" felt squares which you can purchase from an arts & crafts store. I can get them in packs of 12 for about $3. Just lay it in with your filter media where your water comes into your sump. It will clog quickly, so be sure to monitor.
