Hey everyone! I recently purchased the Fluval Evo 13.5 gallon aquarium from a LFS and I had a question that I've been wanting to find the answer to but I haven't been able to find it on youtube/internet. So I'm not really satisfied with my aquascape in my tank and I have some big upgrade plans for the success and future of my tank, would I be able to add dry rock to my tank that's already established? I'm planning on adding Walt Smith's Nano Reef Rock and kind've putting together an aquascape I'm more proud of before I make these upgrades. I would remove the current rock I have in my tank and add the Walt Smith's Nano Reef Rock. Thanks, I look forward to meeting some new reefers!

Hi yes it will work but the cycling time and coraline growth will take longer. Patience is a virtue thx

You should also dose prime and stability daily as if u remove natural rock filtration you may experience high nitrate levels thx

Yes it will work. I just did this exact thing a couple of weeks ago. I added more Marco rock to my RedSea 350 aquarium during an aquascape renovation. I haven’t had any problems. I rinsed each piece well prior to adding to my tank. I love my new aquascape and my fish seem to enjoy it too with more overhangs and caves. The only thing I’ve notice is the difference in rock color with the newly added rock being white in color. However, as the rock ages it will change like the other rock too.
