Ok so I suck at scaping tanks. I have no artistic talent and very little vision of how things will look. I usually just pile rocks together and they look like, well a pile of rocks. Sometimes once they're covered in softies, LPS, and nems they don't look halfbad. Guess I get lucky sometimes. I'm switching my reefer 170 24x20x20 inches to an SPS dominant tank (or so I hope). My goal is to have places to attach my frags at different levels and leave
room on the bottom for some LPS colonies and my space invaders Cyphastrea that is covering the glass in the right front corner. Also maybe an island rock or 2. I also want it open for flow. I know I shouldn't have used branch rock with chunks of rock but I'm hoping to get some encrusting corals to cover the chunks (already have 2 different Cyphastrea frags) and maybe a monti cap or 2 as I have sufficient lighting. Also I have rock laying everywhere from previous tanks so going out and spending a few hundred $ on branch rock wasn't going to be approved. What do you folks think, does this totally suck or is it sufficient for my goal? I have about 10 inches above the highest point for coral growth. Here are a few pics and a link to a video. Thanks for your time.
