So I had a new Red Sea Reefer 250 that I gave my sister because she wanted to get into the hobby and promised she would learn how to care for a reef and follow thru with maintenance. So I was excited and got an Apex set up for her, with dosing pulps, plumbed a manifold, and drilled the ATO and converted it to a refugium. I also set a RODI container up for her with level switches and solenoid for an ATO. All she had to do was water changes and basic maintenance. I even bought a bunch of high end corals for her to enjoy. That was a year or so ago and when I went over there last week I couldn’t see into the tank because she hadn’t cleaned the glass in a month or so. All the corals had died, she totally neglected the tank and ignored it for months. So I decided to take it back and restore it. I’ve got the skimmer running in a bucket of water and vinegar and I’m trying to sort out all the cords and power supplies. Seeing the condition everything is in really sucks. Hopefully we can turn things around and get it back on track. Anybody know the best way to clean a reef tank out?

Run it with vinegar and water for a day or two should loosen everything up for scraping/cleaning. Then drain and run with freshwater for a day and drain and let dry. That should be the easiest way. Otherwise you’re cleaning each piece and will take much longer

That sucks man I had a similar story but not because of neglect I gave my nephew a 20g tank years ago with live rock a beautiful maroon clown and some nice pulsing Xenia.
He did take really good care of it for about a year later his basement flooded and his bedroom was in the basement it flooded so bad the entire tank was under water and it was 4 feet off the ground

The problem is that 2 of the power supplies are after market - so - I would go to the parts store at Echotech - and talk to their tech support on the phone - and figure out which of the aftermarket parts would match closely to the pieces you have. At least you should be able to match one of the MP's via the part number on the back of the power supply (Or the part may be for the M1 - if neither number matches)

Its hard to read from your pictures - but (except the one with echo tech) matches the specs (Dc output) of any of the equipment you're talking about. Are you sure some aren't from a light? (Why would she have mixed them up)?

well - it seems like 2 of the 3 are 'non-standard' - and I would merely call echo tech - its easy - and ask them which would be compatible with which. Hopefully - I solved at least one of them

To avoid confusion, I should have quoted the post I was responding to. I have the Vectra M1 and an MP40. The brick on the left is for the M1, the brick in the center is for the MP40. I don't have an MP10, but by process of elimination...Now the power bricks are all mixed up, smdh. Anybody know which ones go where? I’ve got an mp10, an mp40, and an m1.
