resealing a 75g 1/2 glass

I was wondering if someone could answer the question of could I reseal my tank outside on my patio and if so would the sun cure the silicone faster

You can re do the seams on the tank. Just make sure the old seams are completely off and use some acetone to clean the glass then just run a new beed of silicone. The sun will make the outside layer become hard faster. The silicone still needs 24hours to fully cure and get to its full working strength.

There are different types of silicones the marineland is only for redoing the silicone seams of the tank that's has a fast cure time. The silicone between the panes of glass actually holding the tank together is a different type for the obvious reason it has to be stronger. The building silicone if you need to put panes of glass together can have a cure time up to 30days in order to reach its maximum working strength just food for some thought. If you didn't already know! So don't go putting a tank together with marineland or Lowes brand silicone lol seams are fine.

If your just redoing the seams give it 24 hours and fill it. 48 hours isn't necessary

I've used ge silicone 1 in the past on my 150 but that thing is a different demon and needs to be reassembled completely but I just bought a 75g today for 75 buck it's about 14 years old and the seams have some bad spots should be an easy job I just don't like the smell in my house so I thought outside would be better

GE is perfectly fine to use for seams! I know that curing silicone vinegar small all to well lol. It's the silicone releasing acetic acid. When you go to reassemble that 150g, GE silicone will not hold that tank together lol get silicone that has a way higher working strength. Here is a link to silicone that has the strength needed to hold a tank together to put in your back pocket for when you decide to do it. I use this stuff on everything from putting tanks together, seams, to siliconing acrylic overflow boxes to glass and siliconing in bulkheads. I usually end up breaking bulkheads when I take them out after using this stuff. It has cure times and strength labeled right on side of the tube. It's building grade silicone.

What pvc cement would you use I'm building a diy canister filter and I don't know much about fish friendly pvc cement and how long that takes to dry
