Hi all,
As mentioned in my intro, I got into reefing to grow coral for experiments. This is my second tank in a year (first is a 10 gal nano that I set up to make sure I could grow coral at all).
The tank was bought used off of CL. I've outfitted it with coarse coral rubble on the bottom, a few rocks, and a frag rack.
The equipment -
1. 2 Maxspec gyres
2. 2 AP700
3. 1 DC18000 Jebao return pump
4. External 110-Octopus skimmer
5. 3 DIY LED grow lights
6. Custom made Aquarium Controller (raspberry pi and Atlas Scientific probes mounted on two tentacle shields)
7. cheap heater.
The cleanup crew -
1. 10 Pacific Nerite snails
2. 4 emerald crabs
3. 1 Mandorin dragonet
4. LOTS of amphipods (and flatworms too now :/)
The coral -
