Broke the tank down, cleaned up all the equipment, and cleared the living room.

I set it up out there to run with tap water and vinegar for 2 days, now everything is soaking in vinegar. I'll take apart all equipment, clean it well, and then set it all back up. ACTUALLY... I found a used 120 I might be picking up this weekend and selling the bowfront. we'll see...

very cool,

Well, it turns out that this tank for sale is a 130, 48x24x26. It's an Oceanic and has been maintained by the same person (professional tank maintenance guy I know) and is coming from the original owner. It comes with a stand, tank, and hood... oh yeah, plumbing too. Dual internal overflows and polished and beveled glass edges. I am taking a truck to the sellers house tomorrow at 10AM. Pretty stoked!!! I might pop my 100 gallon + cherry :cool::eek::eek::D:D:):)

I just brought home the 130. the stand needs to be sanded and re-painted. I am ging to float the canopy so it will be easy to do maintenance in there. I'll also replace the bulkheads and clean it up real nice. I'm thinking about painting the stand and hood high gloss white. Anybody want to buy a used 72 bowfront??? LOL!!! :D:);)

LOL ROTF congratulations on the tank. To bad you do not live close, I would shoot the white, use a dark stain and patina it and then shoot a clear. I would look antiqued but clean and modern.

By the way, those who were asking if the icecap gyre 3k was any good, YES! I put it on my 40b frag system. It's on the lowest possible pulse setting and it is keeping the bare bottom detritus-free! It does have a bit of a "hum" when the pump kicks on and an even louder, somewhat disturbing sound when it goes from forward into reverse. Overall for $150 I am happy with it.
