Howdy, I've received a request to introduce after setting up an acct - my name is Eric and my daughter Ella reefs part time with me. Hope everyone is having a fine summer!

I'd say I'm fairly ensconced into the perpetual beginner spectrum after switching to reefing after having a porcupine puffer for about 12 years. We've battled flat worms and red bubble algae explosions, and fortunately that's in the rear view at this point, fingers crossed and knock on aragonite.

We've got a humble 55 gallon tank with a hairy mushroom that has divided into three, a couple struggling acans, some Zoas, toadstool, and a Lepto that has done pretty well and is growing some smaller spots elswhere on its rock. We've had a cardinal fish for about 7 years - the only fish in there now. My adult daughters got me a rose anemone and an emerald crab that are doing well for Father's Day.

We've got a Kessil AP9X and a Current USA light, a gyre, a bio pellet reactor, and an older Tunze skimmer. We've got four humans, 3 cats, and a dog in a small house, so CO2 and PH are a substantial problem I need to work on. We live in AZ so opening windows is not a real option for most months of the year.

Cheers!

Eric
