Technically yes, but check out Reef Cleaners, they keep their Cuc in fishless systems. I just acclimate them and drop them in the tank.

You will have to qt coral and nems though. Some sell it already qt online like dr reef. But it’s cheaper to do it yourself.

But how long do they keep them in Fishless systems? Believe they obtain direct from local rock pools yet doubt they place each capture into their own separate 70 plus day compartment.

They do obtain directly from local rock pools but the chance of ich and velvet is significantly low.

Low is irrelevant when it comes to proper QT considering current mantra being air droplets within 10 feet can spread mayhem

All kidding aside. Proper QT requires the clock to start after last introduced because new contaminants can spread to old established and although certain fish pathogens aren’t likely spreading amongst inverts there’s likely no way of knowing which inverts introduced 72 days ago (for example) unless separated from rest.

Don’t know their practices nor do I know every possible pathogen that might exist from where located.

Recently we had massive die offs of certain fish due to man made toxins that apparently either congregated in shallow water or perhaps more concentrated there and fact is we don’t yet know how it spreads or if inverts might carry it therefore considering where collected and our constant impact on our environment there’s no way of knowing what’s next.

Google dying sawfish. Scary stuff. Last I want is introducing that and scarier the fact it might get into our supply chain or some other future threat created by us

Uhh yeah, um I had no problems with them ime, but yeah it’s best to qt everything wet. Do as I say not as I do lol.

CUC can be a concern because direct sources I know come from the wild and even if kept in Fishless systems might harbor that not wanted ...

That works but I'd likely still run my own QT of 70 plus just to be on the safe side. Purely observation. Same as buying fish from a trusted source. Anything out of my control I double check. Have done this past 15 plus years with my boa breeding business and even though I only buy my breeders from a few very trusted sources and being ultra safe tends to prevent being ultra sorry down the road. That I can't control I double check. Being paranoid works.
