Whenever I do a water change which I admit isn't very often although I did the first one of the year this week at approximately 15% I never seems to notice any change in my corals. I suspect many notice, or is that do not notice the same. Cast your vote appropriately.
The following is a reply to the same question and poll I posted on another forum
"If you see an improvement, that suggests something was slightly out of whack before the change! The general idea of water changes is to be a low impact general maintenance. Nothing should sufficiently change to provoke a reaction (unless of course you're doing a change to overcome a specific issue)."
I would suggest that is quite true at least to a point or just fresh water or a change to a difference in water possibly not just an improvement in water quality. Thoughts, please
