IMO, it looks just about perfect.

Just as a note of curiosity, are you using any white media, such as Phosguard or MarinePure blocks that might be the source of the aluminum? IT's not high enough to worry about, just trying to understand sources.

Like brown dusting over stuff in the sand also. On glass and frag plugs get like film algae

The dusting may be cyanobacteria or diatoms. Your silicate is adequate to support diatoms. Do you use tap water?
