Resurrection/Reviving of Dying/Dead SPS?

Thanks for the clarification. I feel like I'm still a major noob and I know I'm probably not following the path with the greatest chance of success. Too impulsive I am!

And no more coral purchases unless I win one of these contests. I know I'm in either over my head or close to it and I need to pause. Otherwise I'll be broke and, worse, sorely discouraged. I've come too far to quit. I may lose a few frags but in the long run it's gonna be awesome! And I'm not yet calling these dead. Call me an optimist.

Your attitude is the right one. This may not end well in the interim but long term you’re going to be gold. Ride the tank out for a few months and once parameters are stable and you see coralline algae growing take the plunge on some sps. That worked for me. There are some really beautiful ones that are relatively hardy and have lower light demands (leptoseris for example). You can always throw some softies and a few lps in there while things are settling down.

Lots of advice from lots of folks. Most of it dang good. Many reefers say it but Brian from BRS drove it home for me, “Only bad things happen fast.” Truer words were never spoken.

Always great advice on R2R. Aquarium owner 50 years. 90g mixed reef 4 years. Last of two rebuilds ( both electrical outages) was one year ago. Point being not every coral grows in every tank. The more mature the tank the more diverse microbes for the coral to eat. Got sixty diff corals, two six inch clams and a 14 inch bta. I buy an easy to grow acro from my great local stores every six months. All live 3 weeks than melt away. I’ll keep trying. Enjoy the tank
