Retro Fit T5's should I do it?

I would play around a little.
That's what I did after I was out of the T5 for five years and ran every radions that came out as they were free anyways

I ordered 16 bulbs from Coralvue to find my perfect combo IMO.
What works for me doesn't need to work for you of course.

totally understand and appreciate your feedback. Since I'm totally new to T5 I appreciate the starting point as these bulbs aren't cheap lol. Thanks again!

So I got the Hamilton's. I had to do a slight modification to get the front unit to fit where the canopy folds but it's on nicely. I ran a door sensor switch so my Apex helps me keep my vision when I open the door. I got the purple plus, coral plus, actinic special and blue ato bulbs.

What times of the day are most of you running your t5's? I'm gonna slowly acclimate my corals to the light but was wondering what times others are using. Thanks.

Started off 30 minutes a day then 1 hour after a week 2 after 2 etc. slowly basically.

Thanks for the quick response. I would really hate to burn my corals and know nothing of using t5s let alone adding them to my current LEDs. 2 x Kessil 360we and 1 Kessil 160we over a 120 gal 2 ft long tank. Love the lights but cannot handle the shadowing! Thanks again.
