Retro LEDs to a JBJ Pico?

I'd like to get past the little 9w 10k cf bulb and retro probably 3 LEDs into the light fixture for my brand old JBJ 3gal pico. This is going to be for my desk at work so it'll be on a timer also. Any ideas if this is even possible to do with the stock fixture that comes with this pico kit?

The unit will be ok if its just a FOWLR. There are no specs on the unit to find out how strong the LEDs are, so I'd stay away from corals.

Got an email out to RapidLED about using one of their 4LED moonlight retro kits and replacing two of the LEDs with cree cool whites instead. I want to replace the PC with the LEDs but keep the actual fixture itself.
