i want to add LEDs to my ATI 24" 4bulb fixture. I have a bunch of rapid LED individual LEDs that I can use as well as dimmable drivers.

I'm not really sure where to start. I would ideally like to take out the two middle bulbs and put the LEDs there. Any suggestions on color and amount of LEDs I should use? Or is there an easier/more effective way that is still pretty look at?
What heat sink should I use?

I've never done anything like this before and I reallyyyy don't want to ruin my ATI fixture doing it. Any advice is appreciated! Money is a minor factor so I'd like to spend as little as possible

not sure if you went through with this or not? but i have done a few retrofits on ati sunpowers. if you take your time they can turn out really nice!!

this is a 6x24 with a bunch of 3w stars

IMO the only issue with doing this is you need to cool the heatsinks for the leds so you have to add some type of active cooling. by adding that cooling you change the airflow through the fixture and could sacrifice some t5 bulb performance..

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for!

Where did you get the heat sink? And what color ratio did you go with for the LEDs?

heat sink came from heatsinkusa.com as for the ratio's if i remember it was a full color spectrum... so royal blue, cyan, warm white, cool white, uv,green, and i think there might be a red one in there somewhere lol.

here is a pic. not a great representation of the actual color but its kinda close. led plus t5
