Just got my return bulkhead with diamond coated hole drilling bit. They have threaded the bulkhead fittings together to protect the threads during shipping I guess, but it looks like they over tightened it. The gasket doesn't look to be distorted or damaged, but I'm hoping I don't marr the the fitting trying to get it apart. May try soaking it in warm water to see if itbeill expand and separate easier. Both ends being made of the same material I'm thinking that may not work though. Guess I'll have to try channel locks with a cloth protecting the plastic.

Channel locks will work. The outside threads aren’t the ones you want to use anyway. Those are for the threaded nut only.

Try grabbing that little bit of non threaded area if you can grip it
