I have two fluval marine 3.0 59watt 25k LED fixtures. The PAR at 12” from both combined is 200. They are both still able to be returned ($200 per). My question is, are these lights adequate for hammers, shrooms, Zoas, platys, and Monti? I have these on the way. Thinking of returning them and just getting a couple black box. (No plans on acros)

How deep is your tank?

A PAR of 200 at 12" is OK if it's 12" of water and you have a 12" to maybe a 16" deep tank. If it's 200 at 12" through the air, that's next to useless for coral... almost any coral, even in a 12" deep tank. Even Mars Aqua black box fixtures that run less power than othe black box fixtures (1.85 watts per led vs 2.2 watts per led) will give you 100 PAR at 24" deep.

duplicate post, sorry.

Hi, #WelcometoR2R

I used a Fluval for a short time when I was changing light set ups a while back. It seemed nice, the app was a bit confusing for me, but had good features.

I noticed you had a similar thread. Maybe they can be combined, not sure. This way you get a broad range of answers without having to try and peice them together between threads.

Also there is a good thread about the lights
