Return Hole Location?

I just ordered a modular marine overflow, just curious as a guide on where the return holes should be drilled? I know it will vary due to sump size, just a rough idea to make sure I'm on track. Thanks in adavance.

The overflow will come with its drilling template, you can decide then.
