How much flow can safely flow through 3/4 inch loc-line tubing?
Loc-line can handle a great deal of pressure, but that's not really a concern with most tanks.
What's the application of the loc-line and the pump size it's supplying?
Just as a return jet 2 inches under the water line with about 1000 gph flowing through one.
Should be no problem. 2" below water line isn't a problem if on a closed loop, but if it's a supply line coming from a sump, during a power outage, could back syphon and fill/overflow a sump. Depending on sump size and capacity.
Rasing the loc-line tip close to the water line can prevent excessive back syphon.
Thanks! And I'm planning on installing 2 reverse check valves as siphon stoppers as I saw on meleves reef to prevent back siphoning.
Word of caution on check valves, they can fail if not cleaned periodically. I personally wouldn't use one for that reason. The worst always seems happen when your away at work, on vacation.....etc. Jmtc.
