With an external overflow box, and 2 holes drilled in opposite ends of tank for rerun lines.

What size should the drill hole (or PVC lines) be for the returns into back of tank?

Return pump I’m looking at is 1.25” outlet.

Someone recommended I should drop down to 1” just before return to tank (because 1” nozzles and such are common at 1”??).

Help please!

If you plan on using loc-line, then 3/4" is a common return.

My return pump has a 1.25" outlet...I downsized it to 1" and ran up to my tank where I downsized the final into the tank to 3/4"

Thank you! That’s exactly what I would do if I had to. Appreciated. I was thinking about this:
