I heard by the local fish store that installing my Apex Probe directly into the return line plumbing that you would get really good and stable readings. Well I purchased the probe holders from BRS for $15.00 each and did just that. Guess what my probe reads 50 in the pipe but yet reads 37 in the sump. I would think that there would not be any air in the pipe and I can't understand the problem. Does anyone no about this and how to fix it, or did I just waste my money?

Thanks

What kind of probe is giving you a 37 and 50 read out? It has been years since I ran a conductivity probe, but if that is what it is most need to run within a certain distance from the temp probe to be properly grounded. Perhaps you are moving it too far away?
