Tank came with a single return with 3/4" loc-line and a round outlet. So I split it into two 1/2" lines with two 2-1/2" flare nozzles. Pump is a sicce 2.0 I did this as the flow seemed too directed and wanted to disperse the flow. Now even with the pump on highest setting the flow seems low. Should the output be the same just spread out more?

Anytime you split a locline the output has a significant drop off. I split my two return outlets to have a total of 4 flare nozzles and use them for surface agitation and create flow inside my tank with power heads.
