Return lines

I have a RIMLESS 45 gallon tank I am getting ready to drill and place a H2O drain. I would tipicly go with duel 1/2 inch returns in my that are larger.
Should I stay with the duel 1/2 return line or go witha single 1 1inch return on this tank?
Thoughts and or suggestions please.
The Drain line is 1.5 inch H20 from Custom Aquariums. I never have to worry about adjusting my waterflow with my current setups of the duel, 1/2 returns.,,

I’d suggest going with either a Herbie or bean animal drain if you’re going to be drilling. Both flow a ton of water and do it silently.
