I’ve been reading for a couple of years and I’ve always had this question but no answer. After feeding my fish the water that comes out of my return pipe in my sump is really eradicate and not a food consistent follow for a couple of hours before returning back to normal. Has anyone else experience this?

I get a little slurping and gurgling for a few ours and then it stops and the flow is normal. I find its only with frozen food and most prominent with frozen food that I have added Selcon to. My hypothesis is something changes the viscosity (maybe not the correct term to use)/ surface tension of the water and that effects the flow of the water through the return pipe somehow. Selcon has fatty acids in it so I suspect that has something to do with it. My skimmer stops producing skimate for a few hours too.

I use selcon to and that’s exactly what happens to me
