Wanted to see if anyone could help me with this. I have a Jebao DCP 4000, and currently using barb fittings with the supplied tubing that my tank came with. Would like to hard plumb so that a union can be added for easier removal. If anyone has any ideas on what I can do then let me know. The supplied slip adapters supplied with the Jebao pump do not fit with 1" PVC.


Adapter that I am currently using

This is the only slip adapter that will fit with the supplied threaded adapter

Would I just need some sort of reducer fitting? Or is there another way to do this? All suggestions welcome

Of course the bigger fittings that would go on the intake portion on the bottom fit the 1" PVC

I would just make a union with a barb inlet and a barb outlet. Cut the green flex tubing and add the union. I would also consider hard plumbing back to the pump but still having a bit of flex hose for vibration dampening.

While I am not quite fully awake (1st cup of coffee and my way of saying my brain is not fully awake) could you use the adapter below from the tubing to make the switch from hose to 1" PVC?

That doesn’t appear to be a male slip fitting on the pump. Looks like a female, and your pipe would need to be 3/4”. You could get a 3/4” to 1” adapter, but you’d ultimately be pumping through the 3/4” opening regardless.
