OK...I know there has to be a guide about this, but for some reason I can't seem to find it. I have a siphon stopper that I want to replace because the bubbles are driving me nuts. The tank is drilled and I had thought about just trying to plug the air holes in the stopper and drilling a hole in the top, but I still don't like how far down into the aquarium the stopper and loc-line goes (almost 1/2 the depth of the tank before it bends back up).

you can remove the pvc fixture inside the tank. and directly attach the locline to the bulkhead. have the locline near the water surface. or you can drill a small hole on one of the locline segments that's near the water surface

So does loc-line directly fit to the bulkhead or is there an adapter that would be needed?

If there are threads on the loc line and on the bulk head on the inside of the tank side, then it should screw right on.

You can also take out a few links in the loc line if you feel like it's too long.

If the bulkhead is 1" and the Loc-Line is 3/4", you may need a PVC reducing adapter to attach the Loc-Line. If the Loc-Line is too long for your liking, you can remove individual sections to make it shorter.

Inside the bulkhead is smooth. I want to say that the bulkhead is a 3/4" one (how would I measure...inside opening of the bulkhead or the hole in the tank) if I remember correctly. So I guess I need to look to get a 3/4" threaded bulkhead and an adaptor for between the bulkhead and loc-line.

You can get an adapter that will slip on or in to the bulkhead and have a threaded other side for the loc-line

You can also replace the buldhead with a thru thread bulkhead. I get mine on Amazon lifeguard aquatic is the brand. They are enexpensive so what I do is get what I think I need and then order another guessing if I am wrong with my first guess. Saves time when I have one of those Oh man I have the wrong size moments

from the looks of it. bulkhead looks like slipxslip. if the pvc assembly inside isn't glued on, just remove and get a pvc coupling with slip x threaded end to attach loc line. if it is glued, then you'll have to cut below the elbow on the outside and redo
