Return pomp placement

I am coming from nanocube to reefer.
Spent almost half of the day to assemble the stand and the tank .

Where should I place the return pomp ?
The same compartment as skimmer or ato compartment?

You will want it to be where the ATO is. As the chamber the return pump is in should be the only chamber with a fluctuating water level.

There should be a compartment after the skimmer...No? The ATO should be completely separate.

Here’s a pic of my sump. Water comes in on left and very right chamber is where my pump and reactor is. Also where ATO sensors are because it fluctuates based on evaporation.
