Currently i have a 220 gallon sump feeding a 300gal display 150gal flat and 80 deep blue . Will be adding another 300gal soon.

Currently i run a jebabo 20k and a vectra L1 and dont feel i have enough return .

Im thinking about redoing my sump and getting 1 external pump .

If i did a external what would you recommend? I would want to run a manifold so this external could run uv and all my returns.

Depends on the amount of head pressure and flow you are looking for but an Abyzz or Reeflo would likely be able to do the job. I have not personally used an abyzz pump but from what I hear they are really nice if you want to spend the $$$. I run a reeflo hammerhead on my system. I have 2 pumps with one being active and the second on the shelf as a spare with a new seal installed. The seals on reeflo pumps need replacement normally on an annual basis to avoid major leaks. I rotate the pumps once a year and replace the seal proactively. I might eventually shift to an Abyzz and keep the Reeflo pumps as spares which should save some $$$ on the electric bill.

Reeflo - they just keep on pumping. You will need to service the seals every couple of years, it takes around 20min.

A big external AC pump is going to cost you watts .... no way around it. You didn’t answer the question about head pressure. That’s the flow killer for most DC pumps. But the ability to pump against pressure what makes many AC pumps energy hogs. I’m a big fan of the panworld magnetic pumps. They top out at 1,900 gph, so below something like a reeflo, but they’re also more reliable.

I am running the Hammerhead with the larger impeller. I think it is around 300W
