well starting to gather parts for my big tank. Wondering what everyone's suggestions are on a return pump for this tank.

The stand is 36 high.

What's everyone's opinions please and thank you.

I have a deepwater aquatics dc15 pump that comes with a controller for my 96x36x24 and i can't run the pump at full power. 4000gph and can run internal or external and not bulky like some

Fluval SP4 and SP6 are solid choices. Definitely give you peace of mind knowing that it will still be running when you come home.

Guys at deepwater told my friend not to run them externally. He ended up selling them and going with another pump.

I run interal due to no room in the stand. Running a dc7 for 2 years with zero issues and no decline in pressure.

When I setup the 400g in my sig, I decided on dual Royal Exclusive Red Dragon 80W pumps for dependency and redundancy. On such a large setup, I try to focus in tank flow with powerheads or closed loop as it can get costly (electricity) to try and create enough flow with sump return. 3x-5x turnover is more than enough to utilize in sump filtration (mechanical and biological).
