Hi all
Urgent

My return pump had burst .and I hard loud noice . And rushed to the tank .

Quickly turned off power sockets.

All my fish in shock .not swimming but heavy breathing.

Is there any way to .save them

Will They survive

Thank you

Was the tank not on a GFCI circuit?
The fish should not have been affected by the electricity as they are not grounded. However, current going through seawater causes electrolysis and can change the composition of the water - does the water look gray/cloudy?
Be sure that you are very careful for your own safety working with this issue as you are grounded….

Thanks for the quick reply .the water doesn't hasn't changed.
My 3 of my fish died. The rest not swmikng but breathing .I have put a extra air pump and a wavemaker to oxygenated the tank .

Nor sure if the pump would have reeled some chemical. There was a foul smell once it burst

Yes, some motors are oil filled. Can you move the fish or change the water?

This how the sump.looks like with contaminants. Carbon kinda things floating.

I think this would have gone to the main display and caused the issue

Lots of Chinese ones especially if based on the rio pumps were oil filled and or had really bad epoxy. Run carbon asap and water changes
I notied the oil .I have attached pic of the sump .
Mine is 120 gallon tank ddint know how much water I needed to change.so I moved the fish .no fish of them swimming.
