Return pump died... need ideas for on/off switch

Hey everyone, my Sicce 1.0 died today after I unplugged it to take a top down photo. I have it plugged into the battery side of a ups. I need ideas for a switch so I can turn it off and not unplug it so often. Or, does anyone know of a controllable return pump that’ll fit in the return chamber of a 16 gallon BioCube?

Just some photos for fun as the lights went down.

This may be a stupid question, but have you already verified that it was the pump and not the battery backup?

Short of having a Apex to control the outlet, or having a pump that has an app, I am not sure of any.

I plugged it into another battery outlet and nothing and then I plugged it into one of the non battery outlets and nothing. I have two other wave pumps plugged in. One into the battery side and one into the non battery side and they are working. New pump is working too.
That was the first thing I thought of. Thank you for helping.

@Billldg just plugged it in and now it’s working in every outlet in the ups and other surge protectors. It must have gotten stuck. Time for a cleaning. Well at least a clean pump is in there now. Hahahahaha! Still need a way to switch it on and off.
