Hi

I'm running a ecotech Vectra m1 return pump but finding its pulling in bits of cheato into my main tank, pump is only running at only 45 %, wondering if anyone has the same issue as I didn't know if you could get a sponge or nylon filter to stop this from entering main tank and if anyone has done this. cheato is growing well but just finding light strands being pulled through by the flow.

Thanks

A prefilter sponge on your return may be an option. Do you have a baffle between your refugium chamber and your return pump?

Hi Yes have a baffle but wondering if I have got it set to low I also have a block of marine pure the other side of the baffle but it seem to flow just over it.

Another option would be to put a large-pore sponge (or comparable filter material) in the baffle.
