Return pump flow opinions

my tank is a waterbox 35.2
I have a TMC reef pump 2500 its running 70% should i have it turned all the way up?

What is (or will be) in your tank and do you have other power heads or flow?

If you have powerheads then just aim for 3x turnover through the sump and double it for head pressure.

EDIT: Assuming the pump % scale is linear then thtat would put it at around 30-40%

A little bit but its diminishing returns, 3x turnover is all your tanks water going through all your filters and heaters every 20 minutes and is more than enough. You can get all the DT turnover from powerheads.

I aim for 2-3x total water volume turnover per hour through my sump.
