Return pump flow

So looking at building a square tank wondering is my return pump is powerful enough can I just use that for flow?
 
You will probably need to explain the size of the tank - as the volume of the tank is more important that the shape...

What is the length x width x height of the tank you plan on building - and what return pump do you plan on using?
 
Rated at 2000 gph, which is 20 times volume turnover, plenty enough. How big sump? That will make the number go down as well, but say you added a 30 gallon sump, that would take it to 15x turnover in an hour
 
It doesn't matter the size of the tank, I wouldn't use anything but powerheads for in-tank flow.

They already have a ton of great options, including options for hiding pumps, but in addition their Turbelle® stream 3 will also be out soon:

Since they can be mounted anywhere, in almost any direction, hiding shouldn't be too much of a problem.
