Hey folks,

I'm in the equipment gathering phase for my next setup, a 60g cube with corner overflow. The sump is a Fiji Cube Fiji-20 2nd gen. Currently I have a Jebao DCT4000 on order, but it won't arrive until somewhere between July 22nd - August 12th. I'll have everything else for the setup by July 11th, so I don't really want to wait around that long lol. My inpatient side got me looking for an alternative that I can get sooner. Also, the low price point of the pump kind of scares me.. What are some other pumps that I should consider? I know I want a controllable, DC pump for sure.

Thanks in advance! I'll start up a new build thread here in a week or two once all the pieces arrive.

Jebao is by far the cheapest I’ve found and honestly they work great.

Skimz is probably another underrated brand IMO. I’ve had one running for 2 years without cleaning it once.

, probably gonna be on sale for the 4th. If you don’t want to spend too much as it’s a temporary solution, may just pick up a sicce syncra and then replace with jebao once it arrives.

I just took my neptune cor20 off my tank (partial tank partout) and installed the jecod 4000 and... It's silent! As far as long term I can't speak to that but its working!

I’ve had it for about 6 months feeding the clarisea filter without a single cleaning so far.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I'll wait till the 4th and see if BRS has a sale going and pull the trigger then.
