I have an aquapod 24 gallon and want to replace the return pump. Looking at Maxi jet, but what size? The 400 has 110 GPH powerhead flowrate and 500 GPH circulation flowrate and the 600 has a 150 GPH powerhead flowrate and a 750 GPH circulation flow rate. Any thoughts on what would be too much or too little? I have a flowdeflector on the return, but dont want to blast my corals.
Thanks,
Bill

I had an MJ1200 flowing to dual loc-line. One end Hydor Flo, second was to flat outlet. Also had a MJ900 that I drilled an extra hole for and had flat outlet aimed slightly up for surface agitation. It honestly wasn't that heavy of a flow and the LPS and fish thrived. I did take out the stock blue filter media on the inlet and opened up the bottom slot a little to make sure there was sufficient return flow to the pumps. Ran this way for about 3 years with no issues.
